Hurricane Henriette has strengthened in the Pacific and remains far from land.
There are currently no coastal watches or warnings in place, but some additional strengthening is possible on Tuesday.
The hurricane is centred about 2,600 kilometres east-southeast of the Hawaiian islands and is moving west-northwest, the U.S. National Hurricane Center says.
Meanwhile, farther west, Gil has become a tropical storm and is centred about 2,000 kilometres east-southeast of Honolulu.
