Gus Kenworthy earned a silver in the ski slopestyle, but he seems to be getting more attention for his decision to adopt a group of stray puppies and their mother that he found in Sochi. 

The 22-year-old Colorado native was set to return home Monday, but he's stuck in Russia as the adoption paper work to goes through.

Gus says he never set out to become an "animal advocate", but his decision to take the dogs home with him has made him into a Twitter sensation, especially after pop sensation Miley Cyrus tweeted her approval to her 17.1 million followers Sunday.
