Environment Canada confirmed that a tornado touched down near Morris, Manitoba, about 60 km south of Winnipeg, at approximately 2:45 pm Wednesday. The twister touched down in a farmer's field, but only disturbed some crop.
There were tornado reports near the Okotoks airport south of Calgary, but it didn't appear to cause any damage.
Environment Canada says rotation was spotted on the radar and a pilot reported seeing a tornado touch down for about 15 minutes.
