Selfies showing Russia's weather extremes go viral
Thursday, July 12, 2018, 3:02 PM - Move over Kim Kardashian: The internet has a new selfie queen, and it is Anastasia Gruzdeva.
Gruzdeva - who hails from Yakutsk, Russia - first achieved viral fame in February, when she posted a selfie featuring eyelashes that were encased in ice.
It's not unusual for temperatures to dip past -50C during the winter in Russia, but Gruzdeva's latest photo shows that summer -- with daytime highs that can reach into the 30s -- can be just as extreme.

Gruzdeva's latest photo has received more than 10,000 "likes" on Instagram in the past 4 days.
She told the Siberian Times the mosquitoes assembled on her face "in seconds" and hurried out of their way as soon as the photo had been taken.
"You do not feel them so much on your face," she added.
"So for a few seconds, I can endure this."
