Sunday, July 23, 2017, 7:01 PM - Environment Canada has added two more confirmed tornadoes to Friday's list in Saskatchewan, bringing the total to six touchdowns.

Last week was particularly stormy on the Prairies, particularly in Saskatchewan, where the six tornadoes were confirmed.

The agency has not yet given any of Friday's twisters a rating on the Enhanced Fujita scale, nor had any damage been reported.

The tornadoes occurred:

  • Two north of Lanigan, southeast of Saskatoon
  • North of Jansen
  • Near the town of Quill Lake
  • Near Fishing Lake
  • Between Wapella and Rocanville

That wasn't all these violent storms produced. Toonie and golf ball-sized hail was also reported across the province, along with wind gusts nearing or exceeding 90 km/h, especially near North Battleford.

In neighbouring Manitoba, a funnel cloud was spotted near Virden, and large hail and strong winds were also reported, with gusts nearing 100 km/h in Sioux Valley.
