    There's waterspout potential over Lake Erie and  Lake Ontario today, courtesy of a week trough passing through the region that can spark instability and weak rotation.

    Waterspouts -- essentially a non-supercell tornado over the water -- aren't uncommon on bodies of water.

    Here are five examples of waterspouts sent in by our viewers.
