Thursday, June 26, 2014, 12:08 PM - Whether it's a long weekend, the start to summer holidays, or just a typical July weekend ahead, all eyes are on the forecast.

    EAST VS WEST:

"We'll see a classic summer weather pattern in eastern Canada," says Weather Network meteorologist Doug Gillham. "The heat and humidity will be on the increase and with that comes a threat for some scattered showers and thunderstorms.

According to Gillham, most places won't see any rain until Monday.

Conditions become much more unsettled in parts of western Canada, along with some rather cool temperatures.
