Duck mob terrorizes Newfoundland community

Monday, December 1, 2014, 7:11 PM - A mob of ducks have settled into Burin, N.L. and they've been pestering residents, the CBC reports.
The duck gangs are hanging out under bridges and on roadways, blocking traffic. Residents say the fowl isn't afraid of cars and they'll sit in the middle of the road for as long as they please.
Resident Kimberley Cross told the CBC the ducks are "bold" and appear to be unafraid of people.
"They chased me and everything, looking for food. If I'm coming home with my groceries, they're looking in the bags. They're chasing me, looking in the bags, like, 'What do you got for me today?'" she told the news agency.
At first, some residents welcome the ducks -- back when they minded their own business.

Now, the animals are constantly picking at the grass, ruining residential lawns.
Some people have tried to disperse the unruly gangs with a broom or loud noises but nothing seems to be working.
The ducks just keep coming back, and in larger numbers.
Burin officials have contacted the wildlife department but were told there isn't much that can be done.
