CN train derails, tumbles into lake in B.C.: Video

Thursday, July 12, 2018, 1:21 PM - Clean-up efforts are underway after a CN freight train derailed 25 km north of Pemberton, B.C. Wednesday afternoon.

CN spokesperson Kate Fenske told CNC News 11 cars were carrying wood pulp in a southbound direction around 4:15 p.m. when the incident occurred.




There have been no injury reports and no dangerous goods were involved.

Fenske said the crash doesn't pose any danger to the public or the environment.



A clean-up is underway.

The cause of the derailment remains under investigation.
