WINNERS: 'A Moment on The Great Trail' photo contest

Friday, August 11, 2017, 11:00 AM - We are thrilled to announce the five finalists and GRAND PRIZE winner of our 'A Moment on The Great Trail' photo contest!

In celebration of Canada's 150th anniversary and the connection of the Trans Canada Trail, Canadians shared more than 3,200 incredible photos of magical moments captured along 'The Great Trail' over a 150-day period.

Narrowing thousands of images to 5 finalists was no easy task. However, after much deliberation, our panel of judges selected one winner for each of our five featured categories, and from that list of finalists, one grand prize winner.

Our Trans Canada Trail contest judges include: Weather Network meteorologist and storm chaser Mark Robinson; one of the original founders of The Great Trail and lawyer Paul LaBarge; artist, filmmaker and explorer Cory Trépanier; and Sarah Jackson, the first woman to completely hike the Trans Canada Trail.

Congratulations to our winners and thank you to all who entered the contest and shared their beautiful moments along the Trans Canada Trail!
