Take a look at the video above, and imagine coming in to work and finding not only a ruin where your office used to be, but also a video play-by-play of the tornado that wrecked it.

That is (or, more accurately, WAS) Bob Boyte Honda in the city of Brandon, Mississippi. The tornado that struck it in the early evening hours on Monday was captured from multiple angles.

There were actually around a dozen people inside the building when the twister bore down on it. They managed to scramble to safety, and just in time. The owner told the local newspaper that had they not moved as fast, they almost certainly would have been killed or severely injured.

That really does sound miraculous, given the way the strong winds whipped debris and sheet metal through the area like it was made of paper, strong enough to damage around 150 cars at the dealership.

Those employees were lucky. That tornado was one of several that spawned during a powerful outbreak last weekend.

The death toll is at least 35, with numerous people injured and homes and businesses damaged or destroyed from the U.S. Midwest through to the Deep South.

The outbreak came on the third anniversary of a much larger outbreak which killed around 350 people in 2011.
