Tuesday, October 25, 2016, 10:02 AM - Residents in western Labrador continue to dig out of a wintry mess as some parts have received 30 cm snow and up to 100 km/h winds, which resulted in the first snow day of the season for the region Monday.
A stubborn low pressure system continues to plague Atlantic Canada, bringing showers and wet flurries to the Maritimes and blizzard conditions through Labrador.

"All schools in Lab West are closed for the AM due to bad road conditions," Newfoundland police tweeted Monday. "Motorists pls drive w/caution & SLOW DOWN!"
As the snow departs Tuesday, cooler air will sink into Newfoundland, with temperatures falling from west to east.
