Heavy rain ahead for parts of coastal British Columbia
Digital Reporter
Tuesday, September 26, 2017, 12:59 PM - A Pacific frontal system sliding down the coast of British Columbia will continue to bring some significant precipitation to the province's coastal regions his week.
The heaviest rainfall totals are forecast in central and northern B.C., with 40-80 mm forecast near Prince Rupert through Tuesday. Showers could also push into the central Interior: communities near Prince George could see about 5-15 mm.
A warmer and fairer pattern should dominate through Thursday, before there is potential for precipitation to arrive once again.

Brief Summer Warmth
While the week begins on a cool and cloudy note for most, temperatures will be on the rise as a large and fairly impressive ridge of high pressure in the atmosphere clears skies, bringing plenty of sunshine and above seasonal temperatures Wednesday and Thursday. Another system arrives on Friday, ending the brief summer-like warmth and leaving the weekend with autumnal temperatures and widespread showers that could persist into the weekend.
A strong system is possible early next week for the central coast, with the potential for unsettled weather to reach the south.
