Survey ranks Canada's best places to live
Tuesday, July 31, 2018, 2:13 PM - Moneysense has released its 2018 list of the best places to live in Canada, and here they are.
The publication awarded a points to cities based on a number of factors, including affordability, economy and weather.

Over 400 cities are ranked. The bottom five cities include:
- Chester, NS (rank number 411)
- Yarmouth, NS (412)
- East Hants, NS (413)
- Colchester, Subd. B (414)
- Colchester, Subd. C, NS (415)
OAKVILLE WINS TOP SPOT
Oakville, Ont. won the top spot overall and replaced Ottawa, which held first place for two years in a row.
In addition to a strong economy and affordable housing in relation to household incomes, weather was a deciding factor.
The city experiences an average of 222 days with temperatures above 0ºC and 107 days per year above 20ºC, according to MoneySense researchers. You can view the full list here, or check out the Top 25 below:
