Baby octopus spotted going for a stroll on the beach

Tuesday, January 20, 2015, 6:12 PM - Video of a baby octopus trying to find its way back into the water is going viral online, racking up thousands of views in two days' time.

The alien-like creature moves along the sand at a quick pace before its swept back to sea.

There isn't much context to the video -- it's unclear when or where it was shot, or even what type of octopus species is featured.

According to the UK Mirror, some octopus species can grow up to 10 metres in length. Their lifespan is anywhere from six months to five years.
