    Heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms continue for parts of northern Ontario, and it looks like more of the same for the start of the work week. 

    A thunderstorm warning was issued for Agawa and Lake Superior Park Sunday, where rainfall amounts of 50 mm per hour were possible. 

    Environment Canada (EC) also issued a special weather statement for areas north and east of Lake Superior, where a developing low is expected to bring heavy rainfall to on Monday.

    "These showers are expected to east somewhat overnight," says EC. "However, a developing low pressure system currently over South Dakota will spread rain over much of northern Ontario early Monday morning." 

    Total amounts of 15-30 mm of rainfall is possible through Tuesday. 

    This sytem will impact southern Ontario Monday afternoon into Tuesday.

    "Highest risk areas for seeing isolated severe weather on Monday is through Cottage Country, south of Parry Sound," says Weather Network Meteorologist Kelly Sonnenburg. "Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible through parts of southern Ontario, including the Greater Toronto Area, on Tuesday."
