The unmanned aerial vehicles can capture a unique bird's eye view of the camera as seen in the amazing video footage above.

One New York City-based videographer took things one step further with an AR drone designed to walk his golden retriever.

The drone both monitors the dog's walking route and also checks in to make sure he's okay.

The dog seems to be unfazed by his new robot master and the whole thing is captured here:

And what about pizza delivered by an unmanned drone?

While it sounds impossible, one pizza chain in Mumbai succeeded with a test delivery last week.

The remote controlled, GPS-enabled drone delivered a pizza to a home less than three kilometres from the pizza outlet.

An official from the pizza chain said the "customer" was actually a friend of the CEO, so technically it was not considered a sale as commercial deliveries by drones are not legal in India.

Since the FAA's 2007 warning not to use drones for commercial purposes, there's been some debate and confusion in the hobbyist community about what you can and can't do with aerial photography.

So before you go out with a ready-made drone, remember to keep it lower than 400 feet about ground, stay away from the airport, and make sure to learn the rules in your area.
