Wednesday, September 5, 2018, 9:42 AM - A video of dozens of abandoned tents being mowed down by a bulldozer following a music festival in County Laois, Ireland, has sparked anger after going viral online.

The video has received more than 600,000 views and many disgruntled comments.

The footage was uploaded to the Internet by Ed Rice, who shared several videos of tents left behind by festival goers at various camping grounds at the Electric Picnic festival in Stradbally, County Laois.

The tents can be seen being pushed by a bulldozer into the middle of the field. Rice comments that it was obvious the tents were not going to be recycled.

But, to be fair, concert-goers shouldn't be surprised.

A statement on the Electric Picnic website reads: "If you leave it in the field it will most likely end up being incinerated or in a landfill site.”

Festival organizers set up recycling points where people could leave their tents and other recyclable items behind. The tents seen in the video were not dropped off at a recycling station.
