2014 Winter Outlook: Atlantic Canada


Monday, November 24, 2014, 6:00 AM - The Weather Network’s meteorologists have released this year’s Winter Outlook, forecasting the months of December, January and February. 

Aside from the national outlook, we produce localized outlooks for individual regions. Look below for the outlook for Atlantic Canada, with a video breakdown up above.

Overall, near normal temperatures are expected for most of the Maritimes and Newfoundland and Labrador. 

Above normal precipitation is expected across much of the region, which will be impacted by storms coming from the northeast U.S.

The Maritimes and Newfoundland Near normal across most of the region except northern New Brunswick which is expected to be below normal. Near normal across Nova Scotia and eastern Newfoundland. Above normal through New Brunswick, P.E.I., western Newfoundland and most of Labrador.
