So, do sharks eat moose now? We look into it

You probably heard about the shark that was rescued in Newfoundland a week ago, after nearly choking to death on a moose.

Moose meat can be quite a delicacy among hunting enthusiasts, so it's no surprise the ocean apex predator took a bite.

But it doesn't mean we should expect to hear more about the moose-eating sharks of Newfoundland.

Steven Campana of the Bedford Institute of Oceanography said sharks are opportunistic feeders, and probably just happened upon the moose.

"If it had come across a bear or giraffe, it would have eaten that too," Campana said.
