Climate in Florence

Florence, Tuscany’s most populated city, is characterized by hot, humid summers, and chilly winters. Precipitation is fairly regular throughout the year, peaking in early autumn. June, July and August are the driest months, and October and November are by far the wettest.

Summertime in Florence brings air temperatures that float between 18°C and 31°C. Due to the city’s humidity, it can often feel considerably warmer. Rainfall at this time is at its yearly low, floating between 35mm and 50mm of precipitation per month.

Flurries are common during the winter, although snow rarely stays on the ground. December and January are typically the coldest months, with average air temperatures ranging between 4°C and 7°C.
