Description

What: Existing water from heavy rainfall last week is routing through the streams, rivers and lakes. Water is gradually receding, but is still flooding low lying areas, creeks, streams, and rivers.
Where: A portion of northern Michigan, including the following counties, Manistee and Wexford.
When: Until 545 PM EDT Monday.
Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts may be unstable and unsafe.
