Active AlertsÉcole Stella-Maris, QC
Special Weather Statement
Heavy snowfall, strong winds, and blowing snow possible.
Maximum snowfall: 15 cm.
Maximum wind gusts: northeasterly 60 to 80 km/h.
Remarks: The Islands are expected to see impacts from a storm passing across Nova Scotia Monday night and Tuesday morning. Strong winds and heavy snow will likely combine to produce reduced visibility in blowing snow. Snow may changeover to rain briefly Tuesday morning. Higher than normal water levels are expected along the coast on Tuesday.
Snow accumulation may make travel slow or hazardous. Roads and walkways could become slippery and difficult to navigate. Strong winds accompanying the snow will cause reduced visibility in blowing snow.
Plan ahead in case schools or scheduled activities are cancelled.
Make sure snow removal equipment (e.g., shovels or blowers) and supplies are prepared in advance.
