Yellow Advisory - Blowing Snow
Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected beginning Friday afternoon.
What:
Significantly reduced visibility in blowing snow.
Strong wind gusts of 70 to 80 km/h possible.
Snowfall amounts of 4 to 8 cm.
When:
Beginning Friday afternoon and continuing Friday night and possibly into Saturday morning.
Additional Information:
A low pressure system will push into the region on Friday which will bring snow across the areas with 4 to 8 cm possible by Friday evening. Strong northwesterly winds will develop behind the low which will lead to widespread blowing snow and significantly reduced visibility. Visibility may even be near zero for wind-prone and exposed areas.
Very cold wind chills are also expected to develop Friday night into Saturday morning.
Keep emergency supplies in your vehicle such as extra blankets and
jumper cables.

Travel will likely be hazardous due to near-zero visibility. Road closures are possible.
