Maximum wind gusts: tonight northwesterly 130 km/h.

Time span: continuing until Tuesday morning.

Similar storms in the past have caused:
- school closures and cancellations of community activities
- disruptions to public services

Remarks: A period of strong northeasterly winds with snow at times heavy and local blowing snow is expected today ahead of an approaching storm system. Behind this system, cold temperatures combined with fresh snowfall and very intense northwesterly winds will result in a period of blizzard-like conditions with near-zero visibility in blowing snow tonight.

Secure outdoor objects that could be lifted by strong winds. Take steps to be prepared for extended utility outages. Keep mobile devices charged.
