What: Dense fog patches reducing visibility to near zero.

When: Early this afternoon.

Where: East Vancouver Island, Greater Victoria, Southern Gulf Islands, Malahat Highway.

Additional information:
A ridge of high pressure over the south coast is trapping cool and humid marine air near the surface. As a result, dense fog patches have formed. Conditions are expected to improve this afternoon as a weak front moves over the area.
