Yellow Warning - Snowfall
Heavy snow is expected today through Thursday for parts of central and southern Alberta, with total amounts of 10 to 25 cm.
Snow will begin late this morning into early afternoon over the foothills and spread eastward this evening. Precipitation could begin as rain for some regions before quickly changing to snow.
Snowfall amounts will vary widely, with general amounts of 10 to 25 cm by Thursday night. However, locally heavier amounts of 30 cm or more are possible.
Poor visibility due to blowing snow is also possible in some areas tonight and Thursday morning.
Snow will end Thursday evening.

Travel will likely be challenging. Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
