Description

Bursts of heavy snow and strong wind gusts.

What:
Snow with total accumulation 4 to 8 cm.
Westerly or southwesterly winds gusting 70 to 90 km/h.

When:
Snow this afternoon.
Wind this afternoon into tonight.

Additional information:
An area of snow with occasional very low visibility in heavy snow is moving east across the area. Peak snowfall rates of 1 to 3 cm in an hour are expected during bursts of heavy snow.
Strong southerly winds are expected this afternoon with gusts up to 80 km/h possible. These winds will shift to westerly later this afternoon or early evening with gusts of 70 to 90 km/h possible.

Winds are expected to ease overnight.

Isolated utility outages are possible.

Hazardous winter driving conditions are also possible.
