Storm system arrives in Thunder Bay cancelling some rural schools and bus routes
There's a number of winter weather warnings across areas of northwestern Ontario, resulting in some closures and cancellations in the region.
Thunder Bay and the surrounding areas could get between 25 to 45 centimetres of snow between Sunday and Wednesday evening, according to an Environment Canada.
Environment Canada said road closures are possible and recommended postponing non-essential travel until after the storm. The storm will be moving northeast toward Lake Superior and will continue north over northern Ontario.
Heavy snow combined with strong northerly winds are expected to reduce visibility at times.
