Several communities in Quebec are dealing with significant flooding and landslides after a bout of heavy rain drenched the region.
No injuries have been reported, but a state of emergency is in effect for a portion of the Laurentians after a landslide caused major infrastructure damage.

Ample moisture streaming in from the south collided with a stalled boundary over Quebec to trigger very heavy rainfall throughout the province between Sunday and Monday.
Papineau-Labelle led the way with 96 mm of rain in the gauge by Monday, followed by 82 mm in Cold Lake and 76 mm in Windigo River. Trois-Rivières picked up 43 mm of precipitation, while Montreal saw 31 mm.
The bullseye of heavy rainfall triggered landslides and flooding for portions of the Laurentians and Haute-Mauricie.
A state of emergency is in effect for L’Ascension after a significant landslide struck the region, damaging up to 20 roads and reportedly knocking out power to the entire community.
Several roads around La Macaza are closed due to flooding triggered by the heavy rainfall. Additional landslides have been reported along Route 25 in Haute-Mauricie. This road connects La Tuque and Wemotaci.
Local officials urge travellers to avoid the affected areas, both due to existing damage and the potential for further landslides in areas where the ground remains unstable.
