Hydro One reported more than 6,000 outages as of 4:10 p.m. on Thursday, mostly concentrated across southwestern portions of the province.

Winds gusted close to 100 km/h in some communities as the heart of the storms arrived. Many areas picked up 15-25+ mm of rain in short order, which led to flooding issues on some area roadways.

A renewed threat for thunderstorms will build over southern Ontario during the day Friday, some of which may pack small hail, strong wind gusts, and heavy rainfall.
