PHOTOS: Damage reported after tornado-warned storms hit southern Ontario
Tornado warnings were issued in parts of southwestern Ontario Wednesday as severe storms from Michigan pushed through. Parts of the region have seen downed trees and power lines, leading to electricity cuts as a result
A cluster of thunderstorms, the first of multiple rounds on Wednesday, fast-tracked through southwestern Ontario in the late afternoon, bringing down trees and power lines in some areas.
The severe storms prompted tornado warnings for the Windsor and Simcoe regions. While a funnel cloud was sighted in Port Stanley, nothing has been confirmed. Damage reports surfaced on social media shortly after the storms exited the regions with visuals of downed trees and power lines as the storms that powered through were capable of bringing intense winds.

As a result of the damage, thousands were left without power in southwestern Ontario, according to Hydro One.
That was the first round. A second round occurred late Wednesday evening and overnight, with heavy showers and quite the lightning show across the southern sections.
