Fraser Valley residents wake up to a messy morning commute

Many schools remained open despite the conditions.

Residents of B.C.'s Fraser Valley woke up to significant snow and treacherous roadways Thursday, with upwards of 4 cm accumulating in some places during the overnight hours.

It proved to be a messy early morning commute for some, with some roads still untreated to accommodate the first rush hour of the day.

Drive BC noted several accidents and road closures on social media.

Despite the delays, most schools were opened with the exception of those within Mission District #75. Some school buses were cancelled in other districts as well.
