Half of Canadians are experiencing unhealthy air quality due to smoke plumes

Wildfire smoke has blanketed much of Canada, with plumes pushing thousands of kilometres south, causing hazy skies and poor air quality in Ontario and Quebec.

The smoke has begun to breach borders, seeping as far south as North Carolina.

Warm and dry conditions have sparked wildfires in nearly every Canadian province and territory, putting the country on track for its worst wildfire season on record.
