What does spring mean to you?

Spring is officially here and, for many Canadians, that isn't just another date on the calendar.

Spring is also something you feel. On Thursday, The Weather Network's Chris Murphy asked our viewers to vote on what makes spring feel "official" - seeing the first robin, catching a glimpse of buds on the trees, ditching the parka, or something else.

The overwhelming winner was the humble robin, spring's unofficial mascot.

If you haven't seen a robin yet, you will in the days ahead. Robins become more active this time as they prepare for breeding season.
