Humidity lifts a bit for Ontario, unsettled week ahead
More moderate temperatures aren't far off in Ontario, but between now and then is another round of potentially severe thunderstorm risk.
It's been a hot and humid few days for Ontario, a perfect primer for thunderstorms. It looks like we can see some overnight lightning, as there are favourable conditions to light up Ontario skies. Watch meteorologist Tyler Hamilton's video above to hear about the lightning potential.

TUESDAY AND BEYOND: MORE RAIN, HUMIDITY TO DROP, LAURA REMNANTS?
A cold front moving in Tuesday will bring a bit of rain and the risk for thunderstorms in southwestern Ontario in the afternoon, though it all looks relatively mild.
By Wednesday, there looks to be a fairly sharp boundary across southern Ontario, so we will see a very tight temperature gradient (extreme humidity across the southwest and cooler air coming in from the northeast). This could bring the threat for potentially severe storms.
Overall temperatures bounce back somewhat Thursday before once again dipping down on Friday, with both days featuring some storm chance.
Moisture from Tropical Storm Laura could possibly impact southern Ontario Friday night into Saturday. Rain, gusty winds and thunderstorms are all on the table. Beyond, the following weekend looks to be temperate and, for some, even fall-like.
