A village in Turkey is attempting to dig itself out after more than 6 metres (20 feet) of snow has been dumped on it this month.

Snowstorms have left residents in Yuksekova without power and water, as the entire town has been buried under the copious amount of snow.

The heavy snowfalls has caused disruptions in the southeastern Turkey provinces of Van, Agri and Bitlis, and has isolated more than 70 villages, according to private Demiroren news agency (DHA).
