After days of wet weather, and typical spring conditions, a stretch of pleasant dry weather will span the B.C. coast, aligning perfectly with the weekend and the chance to get outdoors.

In fact, these drier conditions will mark the longest stretch without rain since the end of January. Temperatures will be milder this time around, as well, so it will feel much nicer overall to enjoy.

Dry weather, milder temperatures and longer sunsets coming your way, Vancouver

After Thursday, you'll be able to pack away the umbrella and rain boots until the middle of next week, at least. A dry stretch is forecast from Friday to Wednesday for coastal B.C.

Temperatures over the next several days will hover between 10 to 14°C, so coupled with the dry stretch and more sunshine to enjoy, things will be feeling much more pleasant for spring across the province.

Another positive with this stretch of dry weather -- you get to enjoy it longer.

Vancouver and Victoria will both experience their first sunset at 8 p.m. or later this Saturday. The last time the sun set that late was back on August 29, 2024.

Needless to say, expect a fantastic weekend brimming with sunshine, Vitamin D, and plenty of outdoor time.

Bonus dry weather?

It is actually possible for the dry conditions to persist longer than the six days anticipated, but it still won’t beat the 13-day stretch the region saw for the second half of January.
