More snow? This weekend offers a bit of spring hope in southern Ontario
Finally, some pleasant spring weather this weekend in southern Ontario. But there's no sugar coating, the chances for snow return as early as next week
Spring is off to a notably sluggish start, which we are sure you have already noticed. observed. There have been a few warm and sunny days, but those days have avoided the weekends for the most part.
Will some pleasant spring weather finally make an appearance this weekend? The answer is yes, but your opportunity will be brief.

Flake watch continues to kick off the weekend Friday
We will kick off the weekend with familiar conditions -- chilly and wet. Friday will be cloudy with a few passing showers, and the showers will even mix with flakes for areas well north of the 401. Temperatures will continue to be well below seasonal, and more typical of mid-March.
The risk for showers will linger into Friday night, especially across eastern Ontario, the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Niagara.
Temperatures slowly rebound Saturday
Saturday will start off mostly cloudy, and we can’t rule out a stray shower or sprinkle early in the day. However, sunny breaks will develop as we progress through the day, especially for areas to the north and west of Toronto. Temperatures will rebound a few degrees, and sit closer to seasonal.
Sunday is THE day! Enjoy it while you can
Sunday will feature the best weather of the weekend. We will see a mix of sun and clouds and temperatures will actually be a couple degrees above seasonal.
However, as we often see this time of year, temperatures will be a couple degrees cooler near the shorelines of the Great Lakes.

The mild temperatures will continue into the beginning of next week. Monday will be partly sunny and breezy with showers developing late in the day and continuing into Monday night.
Be sure to get outside during Sunday and Monday to take advantage of the warmer weather, because unfortunately it will only last for a couple days.
Back to the March chill (and snow) by next Wednesday
A strong cold front will track across our region during Monday night or Tuesday.
