Areas: New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Labrador, and eastern Quebec

Weather: A risk for thunderstorms will continue over much of Eastern Canada as we head into our Sunday.

A lingering disturbance over the region will provide enough lift to spark showers and thunderstorms with the heat of the day. While the storms should remain below severe limits, plenty of tropical moisture lingering over the region will allow storms to produce heavy rainfall, especially across parts of Newfoundland.

DON'T MISS: Nova Scotia's historic rains would've smashed records in Florida

We’ll see a chance of showers across hard-hit sections of Nova Scotia on Sunday, but we shouldn’t see anything nearly as bad as we’ve seen in recent days as the core of that tropical moisture pushes east.

No relief is on the horizon when it comes to the mugginess, however, as warm temperatures and high humidity will stick around straight through the upcoming week. Humidex values in Halifax look to crack the mid-30s on each of the next seven days. Storm chances will rise again later in the week.
