
Freezing rain risk lingers into Sunday in eastern Ontario, Quebec
A continued risk for freezing rain and drizzle in eastern Ontario and southern Quebec could lead to travel issues around Ottawa and Montreal
Freezing rain and drizzle that spread over eastern Ontario and much of Quebec on Saturday will continue overnight into early Sunday.
Beware an ongoing risk for slick roads and sidewalks around Ottawa, Gatineau, and Montreal through early Sunday morning.
Freezing rain warnings remain in effect from Ottawa to Quebec City. Stay alert for rapidly changing road conditions, and be sure to check highway conditions before you head out.

Precipitation pushed north of the border on Saturday as a weak low-pressure system slid into the Great Lakes region.
Below-freezing temperatures at the surface will allow the rain to freeze on contact with any exposed surfaces, creating a dangerous situation for drivers and pedestrians alike. Use extreme caution while driving or walking in the affected areas on Saturday.

Expect the ice to continue through the evening and overnight hours.
While power outages and tree damage are unlikely, we could still see several millimetres of ice accretion as a result of the freezing rain.
This is more than enough to make for slippery conditions on roads, driveways, and sidewalks. Use extreme caution if you have to go out through Sunday.
