Montreal's prolonged warm streak could continue into June
The city of Montreal has had a very impressive streak of warm weather in May.
An anomalous heat pattern spreading across eastern Canada has made for some very warm weather across both Ontario and Quebec.
Montreal in particular has seen its fair share of warmth in May. Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau International Airport reported 18 consecutive days of temperatures above 19°C, falling just short of the record set in 1975.

Toronto has also seen its fair share of above seasonal weather due to this temperature anomaly.
The pattern will continue into the first week of June as a very large temperature ridge that has taken hold of the Great Lakes and is stretching across most of eastern Canada. The warm weather could potentially continue through to the second week of June.
