Spring slows down in Ontario with more cool, wet weather en route
Rainfall and falling temperatures will close out April across Ontario, with some areas getting cold enough to see some snowflakes
Ontario has seen a dynamic spring so far, and it’s not over, yet.
Early in the week, rain systems are set to sweep across northern and southern areas. In the wake of these systems, a few snowflakes may make an appearance in some parts of the province, as well.

Stay alert for any localized flooding or flood alerts as the widespread rains trek across the province this week.

Next round of rainfall will push in late-Wednesday morning and early afternoon
Eastern Ontario could see 30-50+ mm rainfall from Wednesday evening to Thursday morning
Cooler temperatures move in mid-to-late week
More rain hits Wednesday, but with a snow risk creeping in for some
A second low-pressure system will track through eastern Lake Ontario and into Quebec later Wednesday.

Rain begins in the late morning for Lake Erie, spreading into the GTHA and Niagara by the afternoon. Heavier rainfall is likely for eastern Ontario, by Wednesday evening.
High, atmospheric moisture will likely lead to heavy rain threat across eastern Ontario, with totals of 30–50+ mm by Thursday morning. A localized flood threat exists with current high water levels.

Cooler air follows this system, bringing much colder conditions for Friday into the weekend.
Temperatures are expected to be below normal starting off May.
In fact, the focus of the below-normal temperatures in North America will be centred around the Great Lakes region.

Thursday and Friday daytime highs will struggle to reach the double digits, with overnight lows near to below the freezing mark. Normal daytime highs for Ottawa and Toronto is 15°C, and 17°C in Windsor.
Overnight lows will dip below 0°C Saturday and Sunday night across parts of southern Ontario, with near-freezing conditions for the GTA.
