High chance of a tropical system targeting Florida this weekend

A tropical disturbance has a high chance of developing into a storm by this weekend as it approaches Florida

Florida is on alert as a tropical disturbance gathering steam over the northern Caribbean takes aim at the state this weekend.

Forecasters give the disturbance a 70 percent (high) chance of developing into a tropical depression or a tropical storm over the next couple of days.
