For some locations, multiple rounds of rain and thunderstorms are possible, with the cold front expected to trigger a more organized line of stronger thunderstorms late afternoon and into the early evening as it approaches the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region, the Laurentians and St. Lawrence River.

With high moisture in the atmosphere, torrential rain will be likely. Stronger storms have the potential to produce locally strong wind gusts and hail, with a widespread wind threat along the passing cold front.
Near Saguenay and south towards Quebec City, atmospheric conditions favour the chance for rotating storms and a tornado in the late afternoon towards dinnertime.

Late week, an upper-level trough over Atlantic Canada will keep much of Quebec cooler and unsettled, with chances for showers and below-seasonal temperatures.
