Brace for travel disruptions: Up to 10 cm of snow, 40-60 km/h winds in Quebec

Drivers in Quebec will need to be on alert for more winter weather Thursday, with another poorly timed burst of snow for the evening commute home

Thursday will see another round of snowfall push into southern and eastern Quebec in time for the afternoon and evening commutes. Motorists should brace for longer travel times.

"Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays," says Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC).

"Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance."

Conditions will then ease by Friday morning, with some flurries lingering in the region. Winds between 40-60 km/h could result in some blowing snow and further travel slowdowns during that time.
