We may have found one of the best places to catch the Northern Lights!
If you're hoping to witness breathtaking auroras someday, we've discovered the perfect location for you.
For many, witnessing the aurora borealis is a bucket list experience, but finding suitable locations—and often dealing with the weather—can be challenging.
While we can't control the weather, we have discovered one of the best places to see this dazzling display: the Northern Rockies Adventures lodge, nestled at the edge of the B.C. Rockies.
Mia Gordon from The Weather Network traveled by plane and bus, hoping to witness the enchanting auroras firsthand.

Northern Rockies Adventures is located in the wilderness of northern British Columbia.

After checking into the lodge, the team waited until about 10 PM when a knock on the door signalled that the lights were out.
While most would miss the spectacle, at mile 426 of the Alaska Highway, the sky was just getting started.
Northern Rockies Adventures offers the only commercial Northern Lights tours in British Columbia. This hidden gem is located at 59 degrees north, right at the doorstep of the auroral oval. Because it’s not directly in the centre of the dome, the lights create a stunning arch across the Rocky Mountain peaks.

Although this sounds like the perfect spot to watch such an incredible light show, it used to be a 20-hour drive from Vancouver—until the team at Northern Rockies Adventures bridged the gap by starting private charter tours, making the province's wildest corners more accessible.
