Burning tires to reduce emissions

Making cement requires a lot of energy in the form of fuel, which has traditionally come from burning coal.
In late August a plant in Brookfield, Nova Scotia embarked on a one-year pilot using scrap tires to help make manufacturing cement.
The temperatures at the plant are over 1450 degrees Celsius -- more than a quarter of the temperature of the surface of the sun.
Nathan Coleman has more on this test project.
