A prime parking spot at Whistler Blackcomb will cost you $110K
The price reflects the "convenience factor."
Ski season is in full swing, and some people are willing to pay big bucks for the convenience of getting to the slopes quickly.
At B.C.'s renowned Whistler Blackcomb, parking is available at the base of the Blackcomb Gondola. One of those lots - parking spot #106 - was recently listed for sale.
The cost? A cool CAD $110,000.
"Never have to deal with the headache of looking for parking when you go skiing, hiking, or biking," reads the listing of the 162-square-foot parking spot.
"Don’t miss out on the fresh powder because you had to drive around to find a parking spot! Here is your opportunity to purchase a fully secure, underground parking stall in the Glacier Lodge, just steps from the base of Blackcomb Mountain and the Blackcomb Gondola. This parking stall is conveniently located by the secure exit making it easy access to start your day."

While the price is steep enough to generate headlines, $110,000 isn't a record-setting price for a Whistler parking spot.
In September 2023, stall 45 underneath the Pan Pacific Hotel in Whistler Village sold for $195,000, and it was only on the market for a week.
“It’s just getting harder and harder to find a parking spot, and for people who have the discretionary income to purchase something like that, the convenience factor is very big for them,” Dave Brown, a Realtor with Whistler Real Estate, told Global News.
The parking rate at the resort's public lots is $18 a day.
