Moose moves into a library, shuts the building down

Officials were moose-t unimpressed.

A Silverthorne, Colorado library was put on an "indefinite" closure Wednesday when it decided to take a break from the snowstorm that was pummeling the area and make itself at home in front of a library, blocking the entrance.

Librarian Katie Koop told CNN they had to close the building until the moose left, which happened a few hours later.

"Normally we wouldn't have been closed even in this weather," she said.

"We try to stay open because we are a place for people to hang out when they're waiting out the storm."

If you ever come across a moose at your local library, or out and about in the wild, wildlife officials say its best to admire it from a very safe and generous distance.
